Lovins is in Grade seven.

She has nine siblings. Both her parents are alive but are casual laborers whose wages can barely sustain the family. Last year she kept being sent away from school for fees arrears. This affected her emotionally and also resulted in low grades.

We are thankful that this year she is able to attend school consistently since the Foundation has stepped in to pay her school fees. Additionally, school lunch levy was paid so that she can eat lunch at school. This means she doesn’t have to walk the long distance home for lunch – which she’s not guaranteed to find at home even after walking all the way.
