June 26, 2024Clausin finished form four (12th grade) 2 years ago and did well academically despite his studies being interrupted due to being sent away from school constantly for lack of school fees. He still managed to get an average of B- in his final exams and qualified for University.
Unfortunately due to unpaid fees, the school would not release his final exam certificate (KCSE certificate) until the unpaid fee balance (Ksh. 6,000 / $48) was cleared. This left Clausin stuck – he could not enroll in University or get a job because he didn’t have a certificate to show he finished (graduated) High School. For two years Clausin was at home with no hope for the future for as long as his fee balance remain unpaid at his former high school. He watched many of his former class mates go on to university and college while he languished at home in despair. Thankfully, his plight was brought to the foundation early this year and we were able to pay off the remaining fees and he got his certificate from the school. On the day he learnt that his school fees arrears would be paid, Clausin was so happy that he lay prostrate on the floor, thanking God for this ‘miracle’. He was not able to speak that whole day as he was in shock and disbelief. That was the extent of his despair.
Clausin’s future now looks promising as we were able to get him enrolled to study electrical engineering at the Institute of Energy Studies and Research in Ruaraka, Kenya. He begun his studies on Friday September 2024. We need your partnership to help pay for Clausin’s training. One term’s fee at the Institute of Energy Studies and Research is Ksh 38,900 ($311.20). A diploma in Electrical and Electronics engineering will take 4 terms (2 years). A total of Ksh155, 600 ($1,244.80) is needed to help Clausin complete this course.
